My Role
I am the lead product designer for Camera App on Windows OS. I provided UX and UI for any new features within Camera App. I also assisted the Store and Essential Experience team on other native windows applications like Notepad. My initial task was to match the Camera App UI to Windows 11 fluent design library and add new modes such as QR code and barcode scanning. I also worked on integrating new features like Microsoft Studio Effects that include capabilities like background blur, auto framing, and eye gaze correction. I participated in various AI (optical character recognition) and AR sprints for Camera App to future cast the latest camera tech trends.
